MBA/MHA

The MBA/MHA joint degrees are comprised of 54 - 61.5 semester hours of 8000-level graduate courses which include 6 semester hours in administrative residency. The course requirements for the MBA/MHA dual degrees are as follows:

Cornerstone Core Courses

 

1 to 2 courses for total of 3-6 hours
Functional Core Courses

 

5 1.5 hours courses and 1 1.5 hour elective for 9 hrs

Capstone Core Course

 

1 3 hour course for total of 3 hours
Required Courses in Health Administration

 

11 courses for total of 33 hours
Administrative Residency

 

2 courses for total of 6 hours
Minimum total 54 hours

ADMINISTRATIVE RESIDENCY

Master of Science in Health Administration (MSHA)

The MSHA degree is comprised of 36 semester hours of 8000-level graduate courses. The basic course requirements for the MSHA degree are as follows:

Health Administration Core 8 courses - 24 hours
Concentration 4 course - 12 hours
Minimum of 36 hours 12 courses

Master of Business Administration (MBA) with concentration in Health Administration

The MBA with a concentration in health administration is comprised of 39-51 semester hours of 8000-level graduate courses. The course requirements for the MBA (with health administration concentration) are as follows:

Foundation Courses 0-6 hours (Waived by exam only)
Cornerstone Core Courses 3-9 hours
Functional Core Courses 12 hours
HA concentration 18 hours
Capstone Core Courses 6 hours
