Dr. Mansfield is academic coordinator for all law-related courses
in the J. Mack Robinson College of Business, Risk Management and
Insurance's Legal Studies Program. She holds a joint appointment
in the Institute of Health Administration where she is a Senior
Research Associate. Dr. Mansfield has taught various law courses
including the Legal and Ethical Environment of Business, the Regulatory
Environment in the Executive MBA Program, Health Law in the Master's
of Health Administration Program, and Comprehensive Business Law.
Her research is currently focused on health law and employment law
issues.
Professor Mansfield is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of
Legal Studies in Business. She received the Holmes-Cardoza Award
for excellence in research from the Academy of Legal Studies. She
has published recently in the American Business Law Journal,
the Labor Lawyer, the Tort and Insurance Law Journal,
and the Risk Management and Insurance Review. Professor Mansfield
received the Robinson College of Business Faculty Recognition Award
for Excellence in Teaching in 1995 and the Charles M. Hewitt Award
for Teaching Excellence from the Academy of Legal Studies in Business
in 1997. She an active member of the Georgia Bar Association and
past-president of the Southeastern Academy of Legal Studies.
She is an active member of the Academy of Legal Studies in Business,
a past president of the Southeastern Academy of Legal Studies, a
member of the American Society of Law, Medicine and Ethics and the
Georgia Bar Association. In addition to her faculty position and
university activities, Professor Mansfield is a certified mediator
and has led law-related executive education programs in business.
